We are looking for a job, which will satisfy our requirements. A job, where we’ll be able to show our knowledge and abilities, which will correspond our social position, which will grant a certain level of income. But there is too much of us. Much more than corresponding jobs. That’s why it’s a big luck for us to get a good job. In this note I’d like to tell you how to catch this LUCK.
To get luck you must do 2 simple steps: first – find a vacancy, second – get a job. It’s simple to do the first step. It’s enough just to look through a big amount of information and to find a vacancy that suits you. The problem might appear on the second step. It’s how to prove a potential employer, that you are the best possible choice for this position.
Lucky candidates always remember the following:
1. You have nothing to loose. Even if you will not get this job, you are just unemployed, as you were before. You can take risk! Don’t be afraid going on a interview, try everything.
2. Going on an interview you must understand what kind of person an employer is looking for. Try to persuade him that you satisfy all his requirements.
It’s very important to remember this when you are filling a form, because if it will not be enough impressive an employer might not even call you an interview. If it is required in the form to give a telephone number of someone who can give you a recommendation, it doesn’t mean that a future employer will call. And one more tip: excellent specialists may get an awful recommendation from the previous place of work just because they were too good and the company doesn’t want to loose them.
But a form is only a paper. The most important thing in JOBSEARCHING is an oral interview.
If you think that oral interview is a talk where you must show yourself best, you are mistaking. An oral interview is a talk, in which you must win and make a future employer believe, that you are the best candidate for this position.
Remember these tips an luck will be with you!
p.s. Lucky person is a person who has done what others were intended to do! =)
